How to add llms.txt to your site

Download the file. It must be named exactly llms.txt.
Upload it to your site's root folder so it opens at https://yoursite.com/llms.txt (or to a subfolder such as /docs/ to cover just those pages).
Open that URL in a browser to confirm it loads as plain text.
Re-check it here whenever you change the file.

Shopify and WordPress handle root files differently; check that your platform lets you serve a file at that path.

What makes a good llms.txt

Short: the pages you'd hand a new colleague, not your whole sitemap
One clear summary line
Descriptive link titles, with a few words on each link if it helps
Secondary links under an "## Optional" section, which agents can skip
Long-form content goes in llms-full.txt
