Does it read or store my email?

No. To attach a note, the extension reads only the thread ID from the Gmail page address. It stores that thread ID plus the note and the note title you type. It never stores email content, subjects or senders. No Gmail API, no Google sign-in, and no Google permissions.

Where are my notes stored?

Only in this browser (chrome.storage.local). We run no servers and can't see your notes.

Do notes sync between computers or show up on my phone?

No. Notes stay on the computer where you wrote them, and they don't appear in the Gmail mobile app. Use Export/Import to move them to another computer.

I lost my notes.

Uninstalling or clearing extension data deletes local notes, and we can't recover them. Back up regularly with Export. Import restores your notes: matched by thread ID, the newer note wins, and a report shows anything skipped.

Notes disappeared after a Gmail update.

Gmail changed its page layout. Your notes are still in storage, so update the extension when a fix is released.

Is there a note length limit?

5,000 characters per note.
