Help
How does it work?
Install the add-on and open (or create) your certificates sheet. Add vendors, certificate IDs and expiry dates.
When does the Status cell update, and what do the statuses mean?
When you open the sidebar or choose Refresh statuses, and daily once the daily check is on: OK (more than 30 days), Due soon (15–30), Renew now (8–14), Urgent (0–7), Expired.
What does the daily check do?
After you choose Enable daily check, a daily scan flags rows that hit your reminder thresholds (30 / 14 / 7 days, each on or off) and lists them in an Outbox tab in your sheet. Nothing is emailed or sent outside your sheet.
What doesn't it do?
It does not read COI PDFs from Gmail, does not judge coverage limits or adequacy, and does not tell you whether anyone is "compliant" or "insured".
Is this insurance advice?
No. CertExpiry is a tracking tool, not insurance advice. Status colors reflect only the dates you entered. Confirm coverage directly with the issuing agent or insurer.
What does it cost?
Free for up to 10 vendors. No paid features, billing or subscription in this version.
